We are seeking an energetic and foundational 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach. This role is vital to the development of our basketball program, focusing heavily on instilling core fundamentals, building player confidence, and teaching the concepts of team play. The ideal candidate will possess great patience, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching the game to young athletes.

Key Responsibilities

• Fundamental Instruction: Teach and reinforce essential basketball mechanics, including proper shooting form, ball-handling, passing, footwork, and defensive positioning.

• Introduction to System Concepts: Introduce basic offensive sets and defensive principles (e.g., man-to-man defense, spacing, and transition play) that align with the High School program’s system.

• Practice & Game Management: Plan and execute engaging, fast-paced practices that maximize ball-contact time for all players. Lead the team during 7th-grade game schedules.

• Program Collaboration: Coordinate regularly with the 8th-grade coach and High School coaching staff to ensure a smooth progression of skills and consistent terminology.

• Positive Culture: Promote a team first mentality, emphasizing sportsmanship, hard work, academic focus, and mutual respect among teammates.
