We are seeking a highly motivated and structured 8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach. As the final step before high school competition, this role focuses on refining advanced individual skills, implementing cohesive team concepts, and preparing student-athletes for the physical and mental demands of high school basketball. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of the game with a commitment to mentorship and discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Skill Refinement: Elevate foundational skills to a competitive level, focusing on high-speed ball handling, situational passing, shooting consistency, and aggressive man-to-man defensive concepts.

• Tactical Execution: Implement offensive and defensive systems, press breaks, and special-situation plays that directly align with the High School program's playbook and terminology.

• High School Preparation: Prepare athletes for the transition to 9-12 basketball by increasing the intensity of conditioning, practice pace, and basketball IQ expectations.

• Game & Roster Management: Plan disciplined practices, manage game strategy and playtime distribution, and oversee all 8th-grade team logistics.

• Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with the 7th-grade coach and High School coaching staff to ensure a seamless developmental pipeline for the boys' basketball program.

• Character Development: Model and enforce high standards of sportsmanship, accountability, academic eligibility, and emotional control on and off the court.
